Chapter 6 was mainly just reading and understanding different ways of managing information. The first part was on web sites and how businesses set up web sites. How an on-line form can be used. IT shown us about memos, which are less formal, and how people may use them. Then how an agenda document can inform people on topics in a meeting. Why business may use excel to produce spreadsheets for example budgets sales customer records. It finally shown us about invoices and delivery notes and what type of information should be included in them.

 Comments

title-233882

Dear Mr Blog

This chapter is on improving my basic skills on PowerPoint. First part was learning about power points basic functions like different movement changing the view. Then we moved on to adding new slides to your presentation and viewing my presentation. Then it shown us how to save close and open my presentation, which I already knew how to do as well as editing a slide.

We then went on to adding different types of charts and putting in pictures from clip art and adding some animation and sound to our presentations. We finally then looked at printing different slides and how to do so. The chapter I found very easy because I knew how to do most of the tasks because I have used PowerPoint a lot in the past.

After completing chapter 1 I have learned a number of new skills, which consist of using tools to check the spelling accuracy of a document and successfully change them. I also learned how to use tool, which help me check my grammar in a document. In chapter 1 I was also shown how to change and add my own words into a writing style for example text language. Another objective in which I learned was producing a draft copy of a document and viewing readability statistics. Lastly I learned about using word for proofreading the different symbols tools and techniques about proofreading.

Out of these objectives I found the proofreading section the hardest to figure out. I think the symbols will be the hardest to remember and what they mean when proofreading and annotating my work.

Dear Mr Blog

I now completed chapter 2, in this chapter I learned some more new techniques first task was about producing different layouts and adjusting your page to suit the requirements that you need, also it shown me how to adjust your page breaks that suits you not what is default to word.

In chapter two it showed me about the tools of a header and footer, which I found very easy with me already using it before on, previous work. This also applied to paragraph formats and the drawing toolbar.

The next objective was to complete the section about presentation styles and how I can use sound and shading to help when producing a presentation or work. The next part was producing tables, which again I have already used before.

Dear Mr Blog
I have just completed chapter 3 (working with longer documents) the first task that I did was setting up a document and learning about the different functions then I went on to create a multi page report, which I had to insert a table of contents and create captions and cross references. After completing the previous I then went on to creating an index of entries and a bibliography by using footnote.

Dear Mr Blog

Completed chapter 4 (maintaining a consistent style) I found this chapter quite easy, as it was quite simple when doing each of the objectives. The first objective was to use and define and modify textual styles also we had to create and use templates by using a document template then defining, assigning and modifying a style I found that task quite east because I have used this method before. Finally I had to insert fields, I have never used this method before so it will help me in my future work.
